In the house removal industry you see a lot of different styles and types of Queenslanders, this brings the question of what interior style you are wanting to achieve to design your perfect family home. This is just a few examples of what styles are on trend and easy enough to do yourself!

Shabby Chic:  Trying to recreate the “antique flea market look”.

This style uses a lot of distressed wood covered in sanded milk white paint for the “wear and tear”

affected look that goes beautifully in any Queenslander.

Vintage:   Vintage styling is the eclectic, eccentric and the pieces that are lovingly homemade.

Just think, a unique statement piece, a family heirloom with a fresh coat of paint or even something old turned new again.

Industrial:  Industrial emphasises liberal use of exposed steel with distressed wooden elements,

frequently complemented by exposed brick walls.

Exposing wires for your string lights works great with this look.

Nautical/Coastal:  This design is also classed as “The beach house style” and based on white or sand coloured foundation

with blue as the primary accent colour.Jars full of seashells, jute ropes and navigational maps on the wall tie in nicely with this design

especially if your Queenslander has the VJ walls to tie in with this theme.

Farmhouse/Country:  Mostly traditional in nature with some traditional elements mixed in.

Farmhouse furniture are characterised by distressed wood, upholstered linen and big chunky knit throws.

This style is mostly white and beige base colours with small pops of colour.

Big open French doors and windows work well to bring the nature in.

These styles help bring character and warmth into your Queenslander. My favourite that I have started to incorporate into my home is a mix between country farmhouse and shabby chic.
